Apple Computers

Want to see an Apple
with an Intel Processor?
Everyone might have guessed from my previous blogs on my Windows Live Space that I hate Apple Computers. I can't really give you a reason why. My hate for it is probably disguised as stubborness because of my affection for PCs. I prefer to stick with the majority of people who choose a PC over a Mac. This page of links will also help you to understand why I think that Apple are being negatively critised for their famous and 'beautiful' industry. So although Macs and iPods might be brilliant in graphics, design and ease of use to their users, I like to remember that there are more important things that need to be considered.

Here is a text sample from Anthony Horowitz's first Alex Rider book, Stormbreaker, in which he describes an iMac:
"Alex followed her through a door and into a bare, square room with a chair and a desk and, on the desk, the first actual Stormbreaker he had ever seen.
It was a beautiful machine. The iMac might have been the first computer with a real sense of design, but the Stormbreaker had far surpassed it. It was black apart from the white lightning bolt down one side - and the screen could have been a porthole into outer space. Alex sat behind the desk and turned it on. The computer booted itself instantly. A fork of animated lightning sliced across the screen, there was a swirl of clouds, and then in burning red the letters SE, the logo of Sayle Enterprises, formed itself. Seconds later, the desktop appeared, with icons for maths, science, French - every subject - ready to be accessed. Even in those brief seconds, Alex could feel the speed and the power of the computer. And Herod Sayle was going to put one in every school in the country! He had to admire the man. It was an incredible gift.

iPods are one of the most successful pieces of gadgetry in the world (mainly the UK and USA). Millions have been sold, and thr Apple iPod stands out over ever other portable media player. However, I still feel that they are overpriced and that other models by other companies might be better (e.g. Sony or Creative).

Five's Gadget Show made a list of the features within the latest MP3 players a little while ago, and I created a transcript of the report just for you.
